ASU has no preference as to whether you use the Common Application or the ASU Admission Application to apply to ASU, but you should apply using only one. Yes, you may defer your admission for up to five terms, or two-and-a-half years.
It is important to note that if you decide to defer your admission, the deferment applies only to university admission and not necessarily admission to your major or program of study.
